We don’t mind where you take the bike, as long as you return it in good shape!
If you’re wanting to return the bike outside of Auckland (e.g. you want to take it to the South Island), we have an agent in Christchurch who can accept the bike and other items, such as a rented helmet.
This will incur a relocation fee of $200 for a standard bike, and $300 for a Electric Bike.
Relocating the bike and accessories from anywhere else in the country will be your responsibility and expense.
We have a wide range of bikes to suit everybodys needs.
We usually stock a variety of:
E-bikes - Hub drives, Mid drives and Step-thru
Mountain/offroad bikes - with suspension, suitable for Grade 4 and below trails.
Step-through/women’s bikes - with Low seat heights wide comfortable seats
Road bikes
Gravel bikes
Kids’ bikes (standard bikes only)
You can find more information about our rental bikes on our website here.
Car racks (towbar necessary) – $20–$35/day / $60–$200/week - the price depends on whether they are for standard or e-bikes
Pumps – $5/day / $20/week
Child seats – $20/day / $100/week
Pannier bags – $10/day / $50/week
Phone holders – $5/day / $20/week
Baskets – $10/day / $50/week
We can also rent out hi-vis, mirrors, mudguards, lights, and other accessories.
Helmets and locks (key or combination) can be used free of charge with your bike rental.
Racks, baskets and child seats incur a fitting fee of $30–$45
Sometimes it can be cheaper to simply buy the accessories, depending on rental period and items. We often recommend this option.
Any items lost or stolen, including borrowed helmets, locks, and the bike itself, you will have to pay for in full.
For local riding trails, we have free maps in store for most Auckland areas, including West, East, North, South and Central Auckland.
Greater West Auckland has a lot of forest trails and mountain bike tracks, although please let us know what terrain you plan to ride on so we can recommend the appropriate bike.

We also have local AT specific cycle maps with routes clearly marked, they are in store for free.

For longer rental periods, we can recommend trails outside of Auckland. Please do your own research before choosing a trail. Some routes may be outdated or closed off.

To extend your rental, please call the store as far in advance as possible to arrange an extension.
Unarranged late drop-offs will incur late return fees.
We don’t do pick-ups and drop-offs for individual bikes or small groups. Please arrange with Clycycles when you plan on picking up and dropping off the bike at our Henderson store.
For groups of 5 or more, contact us to discuss transport possibilities.

For outside of Auckland:
You can drop off to our Christchurch agent in Wigram, this will cost $200 per standard bike and $300 per e-bike. This covers packing, shipping, and assembly on our end. Details of our agent will be provided to you at least 3 days prior to drop off, please contact us if you need these details.

If you would like to drop off elsewhere (outside of Auckland and Christchurch), then contact local bike shops closest to you when you finish your ride, and get an estimate to ship the bike to us. You will be responsible for the fee they charge, this can vary from shop to shop and can have a range of $100 to $300. We will also charge $80 for reassembly when the bike arrives at our shop.

We suggest calling a few bike shops to get a quote.

Note: We only do buy-backs only if you return the bike to the Auckland branch directly. If it's in box, then we charge an $80+ fee.
